In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "A mysterious meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.
The adventure concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Features
Players who finish the quest will obtain an unique katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

This release also introduces the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "The Enigma." This playful quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap characteristic abilities: Naoe reveals a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also features a original environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
